//Dil Se Desi// Is low level radiation exposure causing AVN [avascular necrosis] in urban population ?

Focusing mainly on two mega cities [Delhi and Mumbai] each close to nuclear reactors, and both cities are witnessing a growth in degenerative diseases. Of course lifestyle, especially fast food, and pre-packaged food, could be a major reason for overall health problems. Yet, it appears that ionizing radiation is also playing a crucial which remains as yet undebated.

 

There is, however, a debate going on whether environmental insults [chemical, biological or radiological] have additive impact or synergistic impact and after about ten years of research they are veering round to a belief that possibly the three attack our body synergistically. But this debate is limited to between few doctors who have already been forced to leave the establishment.

 

Ionising radiation is responsible for 90 major health problems-from pesistent headache to cancers, often multiple cancers in the same body. It is mutagenic and taratogenic.

 

Recently I found that one of the causes of oesteonecrosis [bone death] more serious than osteoporosis is emerging as a major concern. "Ionizing radiation can damage the blood vessels in the bone, and can kill the bone (avascular necrosis). This is different to bone loss, and significantly more serious", says a European based Consulting Orthropoedic Surgeon. It has become a problem in Europe and North-America, possibly emerging as a major cause of hospitalization in urban India to, especially cities close to the nuclear reactors.  I also found that medical researchers have known [perhaps for decades] that radiation therapy can induce AVN and the double trouble of Chemotherapy and radiotherapy actually limits a patient's life to about two years. If so, it points to a criminal conspiracy in which Government, media, and the corporate medical establishment have a major role.

 

Medical doctors have studied the health problem induced by low level ionizing radiation from 1940s on. One of the pioneers was Dr John Gofman, then advisor to the US Government. His book "Poisoned Power" clearly lays down the long terms adverse health impact of ionizing radiation.

 

AVN is difficult to detect.

 

Quick search on Wikipedia shows:

"Proposed risk factors include, chemotherapy, alcoholism,^[4] excessive steroid use,^[5] post trauma,^[6][7] caisson disease (decompression sickness),^[8][9] vascular compression,^[10] hypertension, vasculitis, arterial embolism and thrombosis, damage from radiation, bisphosphonates (particularly the mandible),^[11] sickle cell anaemia,^[12] Gaucher's Disease,^[13] and deep diving.^[14] In some cases it is idiopathic (no cause is found).^[15] Rheumatoid arthritis and lupus are also common causes of AVN. Prolonged, repeated exposure to high pressures (as experienced by commercial and military divers) has been linked to AVN, though the relationship is not well-understood."

 

Throughout the past 60 years, we have seen a powerful collusion between medical establishment [in US, UK, France, Japan and Russia, all devoted to nuclear power], WHO, International Atomic Energy Agency, Nuclear regulatory bodies, and Government sponsored medical research programmes.

 

It is sad that a doctor of Gofman's stature was vilified by the nuclear establishment. It is sad that our own mainstream media elects to remain silent on a health catastrophe staring us in the eyes, with no dependable solutions from the establishment.
